Product Hazard

It has been brought to our attention that the sealife design within our LED keyring range can pose a potential safety risk when the battery cover is removed.  The battery cover cannot be removed without the aid of tools, so the risk is only present if the cover is removed.  When the cover is in place these products pose no risk.   The screws that hold the battery cover in place, when removed, are not attached to the battery cover, they are loose, therefore could become separated.  If the battery cover is not replaced and secured with the provided screws, then the button batteries which are small parts, have the potential to be accessible to children and could be swallowed, causing serious internal chemical burns when ingested.

Details

At Puckator, the safety and satisfaction of our customers is one of our main concerns and we take all necessary steps to ensure that the products we supply comply with all safety regulations.

It has come to our attention that the sealife design of our LED keyring range has a potential risk.  The products and batch numbers in question are stated above and were sold between August 2022 and January 2023.

The issues that we have been made aware of, relate to the screws that hold the battery cover in place.  These screws cannot be removed without the aid of tools, so when the cover is in place and the screws secured the product poses no risk.  It is only when the battery cover is removed to replace the batteries that there is a potential risk as the screws are loose and not attached to the battery cover and could become separated or lost.  If the screws are misplaced while the cover is removed, then access to the button batteries poses a potential risk to small children under 3 if they are ingested.

Any issue raised with a product is investigated thoroughly, therefore, after reviewing the information provided, we are recalling these products.

No other products are affected, this only relates to this design and batch number, and this does not apply to any future stock due to arrive for this product.

What to do next
